HACKING THE SERVO (HITEC HS-300 STANDARD)

Servo Motors have 3 terminals - 2 for supply and one for feedback. Feedback is determined using a pot whose resistance varies as the motor shaft turns. The servo can make a maximum rotation of 270 degrees. Hacking the servo involves removing the pot and the accompanying PCB, removing stop tab if you want free rotation

.

1. Parts

U will need a tape to prevent the gears from falling off when the servo is opened. This is not needed if you intend to remove the pot and use the space for another circuitry. Also a Phillips screw driver and a blade
